Compulsory project:1. Organised holidays
You can produce a guide, leaflet or a collage about a place that you would like to visit with all the steps since you start your trip. You must look for flights, hotels, activities and excursions in the chosen destination.
You can make a digital presentation explaining your project or in paper, recording your organised trip in a video. It should last three minutes minimum per person.
If any of you have problems to record a video, you must do it in class. (ask me to organise dates)

A Public Service Announcement (PSA) is a non-profit advertisement with a social or educational aim.
You can elaborate your own PSA based on a social issue: traffic ads, equality ads, environmental ads, migration ads,etc... You can use: video, audio or graphic material.
This task will add 0,5 to your final mark, if it is a good job of course.
Come on, you need the best marks to go ahead!!!

2. Varieties of English
(Colonialism and Imperialism)
CONTENIDOS:Listen and understand specific information about the varieties of English.Get specific information from the video about different accents of English.Produce the lyrics of a song.
DESCRIPCIÓN:We visit the site www.hawaii.edu/satocenter/langnet/ and read the information. Then we listen to some examples of varieties like Hawai'i Creole, Bislama or the Newcastle upon Tyne dialect.Then we watch a video where students must differenciate between American accent and British accent (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ua7nyAaf3pE).After this, students listen to a song called Mango Time, a folk song in Jamaican Creole. Students are provided the lyrics in Jamaican Creole. After listening to the song, in pairs, they must rewrite the song in standard English

LA PRESENTACIÓN DEBERÁ INCLUIR LA SIGUIENTE INFORMACIÓN:
- INTRODUCCIÓN: LA EXPANSIÓN DEL INGLÉS POR EL MUNDO (ÉPOCA Y ALCANCE)
- ORIGEN DE LA VARIANTE EN CONCRETO.
- PRINCIPALES CARACTERÍSTICAS DE LA VARIANTE Y COMPARACIÓN CON EL STANDARD ENGLISH. (VOCABULARIO, GRAMÁTICA, PRONUNCIACIÓN, SPELLING,…)
Aquí podéis incluir vídeos, canciones o textos donde se aprecien todas estas diferencias presentes en la variante sobre la que estáis trabajando. También podéis interpretar un mini diálogo haciendo uso de los diferentes acentos, en una especie de role-play.
Se valorará la creatividad en esta tarea, el uso de fotos, vídeos…
Podéis utilizar aplicaciones como el MovieMaker, PowerPoint o Prezi.
No olvidéis que el vídeo deberá durar mínimo 3 minutos por persona.
Individualmente o en grupos de 3 máximo.
